Learn about each of our class styles in the descriptions below. We welcome all levels of experience to each class we offer. Our teachers always do their best to offer modifications during the class so you can adjust your practice for what you need on any given day.
Beginner Yoga teaches the basics of Vinyasa Flow while providing a great practice for yogis of all levels. Taught at a slower pace, we work on learning and understanding alignment, using props, focusing on breathwork and having a better understanding of yoga.
Indulge yourself in the unique experience of Fort Barre Yoga, a blend of the most beloved elements of Yoga and Pilates. A uniquely designed class combining toning, balance, strengthening and stretching designed to bring out the best of your body!
Fort Flow 1 is suitable for all levels and a great choice for beginners. Fort Flow 1 includes a slower beginning to stretch followed by a flow. A perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those of all levels.
Suitable for all levels. Fort Flow 2 is an energetic flow where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breath to their movements.
This practice is a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness that will tone and strengthen your body, clear your mind and leave you with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, and physical and mental stamina in one session.
Fort HIIT Yoga is suitable for all levels. This 45 minute class incorporates cardio and muscle toning, performed on a yoga mat and towel. It is a faster paced class using a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) method that adds a cardio component while helping strengthen core muscles, burn fat and have a fun time.
Suitable for all levels. Uses a variety of mat based movements using your body and props. Mat Pilates consists of controlled, precise movements designed to stretch, strengthen and lengthen muscles. Focus is on the core and postural muscles to align the spine, improve posture, build confidence and gain body and breath awareness.
Relax. Release. Restore. All of that to lengthen and open up the body, giving it greater strength and potential to take your body to all the places it wants to go. Fort Reset is a Yin based yoga class using props, creative poses, transitions and walls.
Suitable for all levels. Our bodies have an ability to relax given the right circumstances. Fort Restore uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of props) to achieve maximum relaxation.
Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body and have an immediate effect on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity.
Suitable for all levels. This active class combines strength training, sculpting and yoga to build cardio fitness, flexibility, and strength. It will challenge your body, empower your mind and give you an opportunity to work different muscles in your yoga practice.
Suitable for all levels. Fortify Yin invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is yoga at its coolest, deepest, quietest, stillest moments. This class will have you on the floor most of the time, using as many props needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for longer periods of time, allowing joints and fascia to release. This class complements all your other practices and opens and releases the body.
