Jacquelyn has a background in ballet, kickboxing, weightlifting and a lot of yoga. She has group training certifications, TRX Certification and recently completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Being married to a physical therapist, she stays fascinated and appreciative of movement, as well as how our bodies are so incredibly resilient. "Movement is so beautiful, regardless of body type, exercise experience or overall fitness level".
She loves to help others find the edge during workouts as well as in recovery. She believes that balance is a key to unlocking strength in our bodies as well as in our minds. "It is important to honor your body and its ability everyday!" When taking one of her classes or training sessions, be prepared to have fun, be playful and lighthearted, and maybe go upside-down!

I have been in the fitness industry since 1998. I have been inspired by many people along the way.
I have an unwavering commitment to maintain my health and strength and energy so that I can help others to unveil and maintain theirs. It is about living, breathing and being vibrant and having a zest for life!

My family, faith, and friends have shaped my life. A few strangers have shaped my life too. And even, people I have only crossed paths with have shaped my life. All of what I have learned and who I am I attempt to pass on.
I began my wellness journey as an adolescent. We lived in a household that struggled with weight, enjoyed and celebrated food, and liked to play sports and exercise. Sounds familiar? I remember going to Nautilus gyms in New Jersey where I grew up with my mother. I remember doing exercise videos at 5am before school as my father was leaving for work. I swam and played water polo through high school and I took up running in college. I struggled with my weight and knew that in order to maintain a healthy weight, I had to keep moving!
An amazing husband, two awesome kids, my supportive mother, a friend who never gives up on me, thousands of group exercise classes taught, personal training in my garage, and now you…
ALL THESE THINGS have led me here…to The Energy Lab. Here we are: a dream that began in 2006 with a notebook full of visions about a community of like-minded individuals experiencing “more than a workout”, but a way of life.
What do I love to do the most? Inspire people, create change, challenge comfort zones. Whether that happens in a training session, or a cycling class, I love it! I often see it in Pilates sessions and TRX training. I feel it when I am on the bike with a group and we collectively experience the flow. I love the teamwork created from bootcamp and our SEAL training and PMA Lab experiences. I have seen people help each other up, mentally, physically, and emotionally. The warmth in my hands and feeling of energy from a group playing t’ai chi when the moment of flow happens and the observations as bodies MELT after a MELT roller experience ~ I love!
Karen is a kind-hearted and sweet person who loves to share with others the things that bring her joy, one of them being yoga. Karen was introduced to yoga about 20 years ago. With a background in fitness and running, it was easy for her to enjoy yoga’s combination of strength and grace. Many years later, Karen realized it was the inwar
Karen is a kind-hearted and sweet person who loves to share with others the things that bring her joy, one of them being yoga. Karen was introduced to yoga about 20 years ago. With a background in fitness and running, it was easy for her to enjoy yoga’s combination of strength and grace. Many years later, Karen realized it was the inward journey of yoga that helped lead her to where she is now.
In 2009, Karen received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training from Inland Yoga Center in Riverside. She has continued her yoga education, taking several courses and workshops to promote her learning path. She has been teaching at various studios in the area for the past 11 years and is excited to join The Fort.
Classes with Karen are sincere, creative, full of her passion for yoga and an incredible experience, incorporating teaching concepts of mindfulness and listening to the vessel that is your body. She is passionate about connecting your yoga practice with your life off the mat. Her favorite classes to teach are Yin.
Off her mat, Karen loves being outdoors, running and gardening. She loves spending time with her husband and two kids, works full time for Esri and returns to her roots in Canada whenever possible.
La’Toya has over 11 years of yoga practice and the completion of her 200 hour yoga teacher training. She has a strong passion for sharing her gifts with members of marginalized and underrepresented communities w

Yoga and its benefits have been felt first hand by La’Toya as she dove deeper in after leaving a career in the banking industry. She has a strong passion for sharing her gifts with members of marginalized and underrepresented communities who need access to alternative and complementary methods of care, such as yoga.

is a Registered Yoga and Certified Meditation Teacher. She began her yoga practice a few years ago after visiting a local yoga studio to reduce stress and compliment my strength training. She connected with the practice, leading her to taking and completing her Vinyasa teacher trainings, as well as earning certifications in Pranayama (breathwork) and Meditation.
Patrick has been taking yoga for 7 years, and teaching yoga since 2016. He has a 200hr certification in Holistic Yoga Flow, a 20hr certification in Trauma Recovery Yoga and is currently being trained in Self Myofascial Release Yoga.
He is passionate about teaching acrobatic yoga as well as a fun and challenging yoga flow.
His philosophy for

On the weekends he enjoys training acrobatics. When he’s not doing yoga you can always find him watching a movie.
